College Magazine

For the college magazine I have made myself, I decided to use the main colours of red and white, I chose these colours as they are simple and I didn’t want to over complicate or make the magazine look too busy. The name of my magazine is ENSFC, I named it this so that people would know the magazine is specifically for people at this college and will not have irrelevant information. The main image of my magazine is of a male student who has a happy expression. I think this is important because if he had looked angry or bored it would give the wrong representation of the college and the students. I have included quite a bit of writing on the cover so that people will know what’s inside of the magazine before opening it and will know beforehand if they actually want to buy it. I have put on the cover the main things people surveyed would want to see in a college magazine, things such as – music, sports and college events etc. So I put them on the front because I know people want them there and will instantly be interested in reading the magazine if they know they are included. I have also included things such as exam tips because students will want the magazine for enjoyment and also for help and it will get to a wider audience. For my contents page I have kept detail to the minimum as I think most people will just want to find the page number and read on,  I don’t think people want to be bombarded with pictures and random writing as I don’t think they can be bothered to look/read and I don’t think it will be of any interest.
